Using Alpaca meat.
This dish is extremely rich - no liquid is added.
Cook very slowly.
Ingredients
500g diced alpaca
200g prunes - stones removed
2 medium onions, coarsely chopped
100g butter for frying
1 teaspoon sugar
1-2 cloves
Salt & pepper
Soak prunes if necessary and pat absolutely dry.
Cut the alpaca into small chunks or use diced alpaca.
Heat the butter in a pan, add the prunes and fry lightly for about 5
minutes.
Remove from the pan, put aside, but keep hot.
In the same pan fry the onions for 5 minutes, add the meat and fry until
it changes colour.
Return the prunes to the pan, add sugar, salt, pepper and cloves.
Cover the pan and cook gently for 1-1&1/2 hours, until the meat is tender.
Serve with rice or pasta and a bowl of yoghurt.
